            Oh! Jumping back a bit, but I missed that you were in the Bronx--you must be at the same place where my husband did his PhD! I was taking the express bus or the train up to the Bronx to see him there for the first year and a half of our relationship. Good times. :P

            I have dual midwest/NYC ties, too. Moved back here two years ago after 7.5 years in NY.

                Smart. I lived in Woodside, Queens, and worked on the UWS during that time. My apartment to his apartment was quite a haul!
