Since I was politely requested to introduce myself in another thread on the board, I will proceed to do so here. Brace yourselves.
Contrary to most participants on this board, I am male and not from the U.S. More specifically, I am the boyfriend of a third-year European medical student. I'm currently doing a PhD and am looking to pursue a career in academia if the stars align themselves correctly. We have no children yet and aren't really planning any at the moment. At least ONE steady paycheck at the end of each month would be beneficial when it comes to supporting offspring, I find.
I am glad to have found this group! You seem to be a friendly bunch of people and I hope I will fit in well despite the fact that I am a foreigner with very little estrogen.
