    Re: So excited this exists!!

Hi and welcome to the group! I know exactly what you are going through. The third year was so hard and the surgery rotation was the worst of the worst. In fact, it was during that rotation that I found this site! You have already received great advice here. I did want to add that our 4th year has more than made up for the hell of 3rd year. It all seems like a bad dream now that we are looking at the last two month of med school. Try and make each day work the best you can, know that it's all temporary, find some healthy ways of dealing with the stress... if you can do all of that then you'll be well on your way to keeping your home life/relationship/etc in good shape. It's hard to do, but well worth the effort!

      Welcome!
It must be a hard way to start married life but there are lots of others on this board that have done the same.

Canada is "home" to us but we moved away for med school and residency due to the lack of training spaces/ general red tape and beuracracy issues in my DH's home province. I know way too much about the differences between the US and Canada for medical training! We are currently trying to negotiate the maze to figure out if we can move back after residency!!!

Thanks everyone! It's a relief to know I'm not being crazy about how crappy surgery is. This is his last week of general surgery though, woohoo!
