Hi! He called last night, the credit ran out on his phone after three minutes and then I tried to call back and got no signal. AAARRRGGGHHH!!!! I wish Grenada would explode! (after he leaves of course)

LOL Im in class (and not really paying attention) and im posting this everywhere for all those who are talking to their spouses abroad:

Did you guys think about getting the Vonage phone service? Its about $25 a month, and its a local US number he can take with him on the island and connect via his internet connection. I know that its saved us alot of money and our relationship,(to be honest) so that we can talk as long as we want without a very expensive phone bill.

What my DH did was take a land line phone and took it with him to the island so that I can call him and he can call me and it would be like calling locally.

        Re: RELLA

        Just thought I'd say hello.
I'm fairly new here too. Well I discovered the site last summer and was around tiny bit then, but am very recently back. Everyone has been so welcoming and nice, I'm sure you'll like it here as much as i have.

            Re: RELLA

We use Vonage for our regular service - and have for the last 3 years. It's only gone down on us once (router issue) and the sound quality is good. I second that suggestion!
