  • Hello from the Twin Cities!

I am grateful to come across this network that seems to be full of fun, supportive, & most importantly surviving spouses. My husband of 270 days (yep I'm counting) has his last final tomorrow and then will officially be a 3rd year med student! I'm throwing him a surprise semi-graduation party tomorrow night (quite possibly the first semi-graduation party ever )...but he is all geared up to start studying for his Step 1 Boards instead. So hopefully I can persuade him into being a part of his own party! I just started a new nursing position in a neuro ICU and am loving the challenge! I also love to cook, run, read, hang out with friends & family, and do anything outdoors. I'm excited to hear all your experiences & advice!

Nice to meet you! I still shudder at the thought of Step 1, so good luck to you and your husband! That's really sweet to have a party for him, and I think it will be a good distraction from the stress!
