  • New here, and still learning...

    Hello all,

I just joined this group a few days ago and I am still learning how to use everything! I just wanted to say hello and I am so glad to have found this place...it's what I've been looking for since we moved last year and I lost my "real" community of medical spouses.

I have a question if anyone knows the answer--I saw a forum called marriage or something similar and I wanted to post something there but I'm not allowed. Why is that? HOw can I get access? I have a sensitive question to ask...

Anyhoo, thanks and look forward to e-connecting with you all!

    ~Annie

Hi Annie. Glad you said hello. The Marriage forum is a priviate forum for members who have 50 posts or more (just to assure that we all have privacy when discussing personal matters). There are many forums that are "open" so please post away, tell us about yourself, and you'll be up to 50 posts in no time.

Annie, welcome! We have had to protect our community over the years so there are areas that you can't get to until you have 50 posts. That way we know you're a real contributing member and not a stalker or a troll, which beleive me we've had.

Welcome to the board - I see you're in Kansas City - we have several in that area.

        Welcome, Annie!

Glad you found us. Some of the forums are "private", and once you've made 50 posts or so, someone will grant you access to them. You can spill all in relative privacy/safety then. In the meantime, read and post away and tell us a little about yourself. Looking forward to getting to know you!

Welcome Annie! I'm relatively new here as well. You're going to love the site.

And I have to say, you veterans are very patient with us "newbies." I'm wondering how often someone finds this site because they're specifically seeking marriage advice and then their first question is how to I get into the private marriage group.

I know that was the motivation for me. (as I work towards the elusive 50 posts... )

Just look at us old timer's post counts! Adn there's a bunch of us who have lost post counts with name changes and upgrades.

Once you get going, it's hard to stop.

Hello! I am fairly new on here too... This is maybe my 13th post. I too can't wait until I have 50 posts and have a full access pass. Anyway, I wanted to say hi, I grew up in KC so if you have any Qs about KC or need anything, let me know!

Welcome!! You have found a great support group here. Your first 50 posts will go by fairly quickly, just acquaint yourself with the open boards and jump into the conversations. When you reach the 50 email an admin to grant you access and off you go. Looking forward to getting to know you better!
