      Welcome!

I hope you've had the opportunity to have a cheesesteak when you've been in Philly visiting your SO. Yummy!!

There's lots to do in the area - the zoo, museums, Manayunk, etc. - and I hope you have had (or will have) the chance to explore Philly and its environs.

And good luck to you in the application/Match process! It was nerve wracking for us living together in the same place, I can't imagine what it must be like for you living in two separate countries...

Thanks for all the awesome welcomes!
        And another Amber Yay! lol

mmart36 - we are doing the long distance relationship thing right now so his away rotations either change the time zone that we are in for communication (when we are in the same one I get WAY less sleep!) but it has been hard. When he was in school we thought it was hard because he had no time... now he REALLY has no time! Yesterday was a 20 hour one. Is he going to be bouncing all over the US? How many away rotations?

scarlett09 - I will be going to Philly for the first time next month I am quite excited to try all of the things there are to try! I might hit you up for some more information closer to when I get there

Oh, what a long shift! I feel so bad for them having to go through that! Did I read somewhere (another one of your posts) that you have kids? That probably helps to ground you - you have to survive: you have little ones depending on you! Not that I think I won't survive...but sometimes alone in my apartment I get melodramatic and carried away. DF will be ALL over...first one is in Boston. Hoping he enjoys his time being someplace new. Has your SO been enjoying his time (even though most of it is spent working?). He has 3 away rotations...3 LONG months ahead...I'm going to be on this forum A LOT looking for sanity. I'm thankful everyday for this website and the great supportive people here! How do you cope with not seeing him for such a long time? Right now we only see each other on the weekends...but it will still be a big adjustment having him gone for 3 months. I think I'm going to sign up for a lot of classes.

Yes, I have three little bambino's. They are 6,5 &3 - so I am very busy when I have them. I have joint custody with their father, so we do four days on, four days off. On the days that I don't have them, I do sometimes struggle to find ways to keep myself busy (even though I know there is a lot that I could be doing!)

S loved one of his rotations, HATED one of his rotations, and right now he likes it because it is very busy, organized and hands on but the long hours are just reminding him of what is to come Plus this rotation is on the West Coast and I think he is being even more positive because he knows how much I would LOVE for him to be matched over on this side of the country Even though I know he doesn't have A LOT of say lol.... he might be half way pretending for me!

As for coping with not seeing him, I miss him terribly! I hate it. But when we are together, it is great. So I just keep that in mind. And I know that eventually we will be together right?!

Glad we all have this board! Makes things a lot easier for me that's for sure
