I realize that you are using your iphone so it is difficult to write long posts but instead of posting another question you might offer something about your experience. Why has it all been so easy/difficult/hellish for you? How you and your family have handled the training journey etc ?

    See the difference?
    Me writing fro
my iPhone has nothing to do with how long or how short my posts are? Even though you requested I not ask anymore questions why would I volunteer information about me, when the questions I ask of others go unanswered? (does that seem fair?) I asked someone why they think the transition would be
Uch worse and I get nothing in return but a "maybe you should stop asking questions" comment... I don't see anyone spewing any information about themselves to me, so why is it that I have to be silent?

Eventhough I think its terrible that you have requested that I stop asking questions, I'll tell you about my experience... Not that it matters because we are all indeviduals, and what some can't endore others can. With that said my experience wasn't bad at all, my wife was gone all day in class or studing. That didn't take me long to get use too at all. Third yr got a lil better because her blocks/rotations gave her some free time. It's no different from residency because it's the same thing all over again... Two yrs of not seeing her and it will slack up during the third yr again when her call nights won't be as frequent. I don't mind the time away fro
home, because it's to do something productive, and it puts her in the position that she wants to be in for the rest of her life.

That's great that you guys have found a balance - maybe I missed it, but do you work? What is your child care situation? We were just having a discussion the other day about female residents and kids.
Wife to NSG out of training, mom to 2, 10 & 8, and a beagle with wings.

Yes I work fulltime as a GIS Specialist (refer to previous posts) our daughter is in daycare while we're both at work. Needless to say our daughter is a "daddies girl" when moms not around I am more than capable of picking up the slack
