    quick question- I'm not authorized to see any of those blinking "new blog entry" things on anybody's siggies until I've had enopugh posts to post in the private section, right? Or is there some other thing where some are public and some are private and I haven't figured out the difference yet?

    You must be added as friend individually to each blog by its author. I don't have access to the vast majority of the posts that are blinking red at me.
