    Hi, I'm new

    Hi there,

    I'm new! I'm married to my DH (who has been an attending for several years), and thought I would join this board to help provide support to those who are going through the training process (so glad that training is over!) and also to chat with others who are a part of the medical lifestyle. I'm a full-time grad student, and really enjoy my field.

    I chose my username in part because one of my talents is cooking eggs really well in nearly any style! I can cook 8 sunny side up eggs simultaneously in one large pan and every one of them turns out nicely.

    Also, I am wondering if there is something wrong with my account b/c I can't see any threads at all in the welcome section or introductions (I can see one thread there).

    Welcome!

    You probably can't see threads in the Welcome section or Introductions b/c they're not high activity forums, and the basic view is set to show only threads in the last X weeks (or something like that). I know there is a way to see more/look through old stuff -- I'll have to look and repost.

      Ahh - scroll down a bit. There is a "display threads" window, and you can choose how far back you want to see.

          Thanks for the tip--I think I figured it out, but I can only see a bunch of threads if I choose "show from past year"--does that sound right? Is there any way to make that the default setting, or do you have to click that every time you arrive in a forum?

            In this forum, yes. Most people post their "hello" in "Introductions", and I think this forum was more of an FAQ for the admins/mods.

              Oops--I posted in the wrong one since I couldn't see any of the threads at first, wasn't sure which one to post in.

                    Welcome! I'm very recently married to a not-even-quite-beginning med student. And now I feel the need to go poach some eggs...(no runny yolks here!)
