    Wow! Thank you all so much for all these very welcoming words. It's definitely a comfort to know I have my own little spot here for commiseration.

    For a little more info, my husband was in the Navy for 4 years, then a full time tech for the Guard. We have a 6 1/2 year old daughter going into 2nd grade. Fortunately, we did not have to move for school. In fact, the campus is 10 minutes from our house.

    Today is exactly 9 years together for us so hopefully that foundation will serve us well.

    Thanks, again to all of you. I certainly feel very welcomed here.

      Despite my DH being a "traditional" student in the sense he went straight from undergrad to med school, he's doing the MD/PhD so he's now 32 and an MS4. I'm soooo friggin over it already and it kills me to see his original classmates as attendings now.

                Welcome! My husband just did a career switch himself and started med school last year at age 30- so a somewhat similar situation. Nice to meet you!
