  • Doctors' Wives

Okay, I totally forgot about this book I found at Goodwill today. Seriously, I am not a person who has a gift of finding good things at Goodwill...but this book is awesome. (in a hilarious kind of way)
Here is the beginning of the synopsis.

Doctors' Wives' Disease is not an imaginary ailment. For, in th closed, inbred society of a great medical center, these women, the wives of superbly successful physicians, are driven by loneliness, boredom, and frustration along forbidden pathways. And alcohol, drugs, and promiscuity become their alternatives to despair.

Makes me feel better about my occasional breakdown.
-Mommy, FM wife, Disney Planner and Hoosier

My forbidden pathways all lead to Target and the YMCA.

ETA: I didn't mean that these are my vices, just that they seem to be the main places I travel to. Now it's funny to think of the Y as being a vice, though.

Mine is gummi bears. DH bought me a 6lb bag of them from Costco the other day and told me he knows they are a stress relief for me! That really made me laugh. I ate some anyway.

Haha!!! I guess I'll confess - I had way too many chips with queso and salsa tonight. Then I ate a cookie. Better than drugs and promiscuity, right?

I've spent so much time at Target and in the refrigerator I'm about ready to try the alcohol, drugs and promiscuity. It sounds like more of a party ...

My thoughts exactly. Old school doctor's wives had it going on, I guess.

I mean, "forbidden pathways"? How much more enticing does it get?

                          Forbidden pathways??

The sexiest, raciest thing path I've taken in years is to jump into the HOV lane (by accident!) when I was the only one in the car.

And I didn't enjoy a minute of it; I was worried about incurring a $250 ticket!
