    Hi from Cinci!
    Glad to have found this site. Its great to read about other people's similar frustrations. My husband is a 3rd year med student and right now is on his general surgery rotation. Gawd, I hope he never goes into general surgery! This schedule sucks! I don't know how any of you with children goes through this.
    I'll be reading up in the future!

      Welcome. My hubby is a 3rd year too. We just finished GS and I have to tell you that this internal medicine rotation is a whole lot worse mainly because he has to drive clear across town. Good luck.

          Welcome!! My husband is an MS1 - I'm originally from Ohio - but live in PA now for his school. I'll heed your warning - my husband wants to go in to surgery!! Maybe he will change his mind after the rotations? lol

            Welcome! Ugh, I think I still have nightmares about general surgery, internal medicine, and OB rotations from when my husband was in medical school! Hope you're keeping yourself busy, and that he has an easier rotation coming up soon!

                          Welcome! Honestly, surgery med school rotations are nothing compared to general surgery residency! Just say NO! I wish we did!

                              Thanks everyone for your welcomes! settling in for a night in while he's on overnight call at the hospital. He's interested in urology which would require a year of GS residency before moving onto the urology parts. I'm definitely thinking that even one year of general surgery residency might be too much!
