  • Highschool sweethearts about to take the plunge into Medical School

    Hi All,

It dawned on me to look for a place like this one tonight and sure enough this site was the first one to pop up after typing "medical student spouse club" into google. I am currently a masters student of education at University of Florida and will graduate in December. My goal is to become a middle or high school science teacher. My fiancee and I have been together since we were 15 and attended high school and college together. We will be married on December 29, just 10 days after my graduation and during the break of his first year of medical school. We recently adopted two adorable dogs, Winston and Willow who i'm sure will be brought up again and again.

Currently he is still deciding which school to go to. He's been accepted to Florida, South Florida, Albert Einstein and Tufts. I'm fairly sure it will be either South Florida in Tampa, where both our families live, Florida where we live currently or Albert Einstein in New York City.

I know it's going to be an adventure and I'm not very all that familiar with the process. There are lots of sites with information for him so hopefully this site will help clarify how this is going to work for me. I look forward to getting to know all of you

    Kelly

Welcome! My ex used to do research at Einstein. It is a very um *interesting* place. A very Jewish university smack-dab in the middle of a Sicilian neighborhood.
