    I'm here (again)

    I belonged to MSN about 3-4 years ago(during my husband's fellowship) under the name Mariolatry. When we moved, my MSN bookmark got deleted and I somehow couldn't find my way back. Well, I'm here now.

    About us? I used to work full-time as an occupational therapist but I haven't worked since my youngest was born. I have two daughters, ages 6.5 and 4.5. My husband is an ER attending, plus has some academic duties. We've been done with training for 3 1/2 years. I have to say that the huge jump in income is nice but I'm pretty much over his schedule.

    Other than that, I'm pretty sedentary by nature but trying to fight it. I've been doing Weight Watchers and the Couch to 5K program. I'm trying to like fitness. I love reading. That's about it...

      Welcome back! As someone also married to an ER attending who is currently working (while I'm home sick with three kids), working this weekend as well as every day next week - I'm also over it. Glad you're here to commiserate!

        Welcome back! There have been a few EM spouses who disappeared once they hit attendinghood. I thought it was because life is just so awesome post training that they don't need us anymore Sorry you are dealing with a sucky schedule.

              Welcome back! I'm new since you left. Also hated running, did couch to 5k, and worked up to a half marathon, but haven't done any running in months due to pregnancy.
              Married to a newly minted Pediatric Rad, momma to a sweet girl and a bunch of (mostly) cute boy monsters.

                            Yep, pinkpickles sounds familiar.

                            I will confess that the money is nice. We're dealing with lice right now. I found lice on my first grader's head on the 26th, treated it combed it out, etc. The next day I found lice on my OWN head. There are no words to describe the levels to which I freaked out. Since hubby was working many, many days in a row, I paid for the Lice Aunties to comb to the house. At $100/hour, it just about killed me but, hey, if my husband is too busy to help me treat my own head, I'm paying someone to do it.

                              Welcome back! Oh gosh, even the thought of lice makes me shudder. You poor thing! Hopefully, they're on the run soon.
