  • Hi all

I'm a stay at home mom to a PGY5 anesthesia resident who is on the cusp of accepting a 2yr Critical Care Fellowship in our home city. I have 4 children, 3 of whom are young and still at home - 9yr old son, a 3yr old son and a 2 yr old daughter (15 mos apart).

I'm trying not to lose my marbles entirely and feel a lot of hesitation with supporting my spouse through the 2yr critical care fellow program as he been almost completely absent for the past 4 years which has had a tremendous, negative impact on our relationship.

Looking forward to poking around and trying to find my place here!

    Best,
    D

Welcome, from another anesthesia spouse! I'm sorry about the fellowship... I'd be really annoyed with DH if he wanted to add on more years.

Hi and welcome!! We are done, done but still have PTSD from residency and fellowship...so, we have not forgotten what it was like to lose the marbles.

Welcome! You are in good company here. I read your other post. My DH is studying for Royal College exams right now. It's a source of great stress around here, especially now that we have sent off the giant sized check! Stick around!
