Hi everyone!
I'm so excited this exists - I have a feeling it will be a very valuable resource over the next few years.
I've been married to my DH for 2 1/2 years and for most of the 7 1/2 years we've been together, his dream has been to become a doctor. I totally support him and look forward to the "adventures" that a career in medicine will bring us. We are 26 years old and have a really solid marriage and friendship. We recently found out he was accepted off of the wait-list for his #1 choice (the more affordable state school about 40 minutes away from our families and where we grew up). This brings us huge relief, as we were preparing to move out of state in the next month or so to the other school he was accepted to. Not only do we avoid a big move, it also means I can keep my current job (which I love, btw).
To add a little more interest to our lives, we're expecting our first baby in late July -- about 2 weeks before school starts (terrible timing on our part, but hey, go big or go home right?). Oh, and we are also thinking of purchasing our first home after some more research and discussion. We've got a full plate to say the least, but luckily we have an amazing support system of family and friends.
Anyway, I've been lurking around for a little while now and figured I'd say hello. I know the road ahead will be immensely challenging, but I'm glad to have somewhere to come for advice, pep-talks and info. Looking forward to sharing in the experiences ahead with all of you.
