  • Hello again

I was here last year and sort of disappeared when I found out that I was expecting again.
    35yo SAHM to 4
It's been a rough yr. husband finished his specialty in 2012, after 5 brutal years, did a fellowship that was pretty cushy (almost no call, home by 5 daily, actually had time to work as an Attending and bring in some bacon), and decided to take on another 2.5yr fellowship in crit care and just started in July.
I have enough posts I believe to have access to the locked forums if someone can approve me, I could use some venting space.

@marissanicole, I'm about to have a nervous breakdown quite frankly. After PGY-5 year it was brutal, now he's doing 1 in 2's and had only 5 days off a month. Last night our son (5) cried for an hour because he hasn't seen his dad in over a week (he had been away on conference and then straight home to in house call. And dh isn't making much of an effort to give the kids or our relationship quality time, as he keeps reiterating "small sacrifices for long term gain". What really gets me is that I was almost on my knees begging him not to do another program, to take a few yrs and invest in our family, but medicine always takes president. It's exhausting.

Holy fucking shitballs. Homicide is what would be up in this house if DH wanted to go back to training once we got the hell out. Seriously, no fucking way.

              You are amazing.

Welcome back! I agree - that's a major foul move on his part. I'm so sorry. We're here for you!

Awesome! Lady Moreta has had the joy of seeing me post 1000 pics per day of our sweet little baby over on FB.
I can't seem to figure out how to msg admin to get me over to the private boards so I can really type in all caps about how pissed I am over this. I hate medical education. Hate it. Hate.

Look for poky, Vanquisher, PrincessFiona, and Rapunzel (I think) for admin help.

Rapunzel is not an admin. I think you're in, but let me know if you have problems.

Poky is really on top of things.
