I'm excited to have found these boards! I haven't browsed much yet, but I thought I'd introduce myself first.
My husband and I are starting our new life together as he starts his new life as an MD. He graduated in May, we were married a week later, sold my house less than a week after that, then made the long-distance move to his residency program as soon as we got back from our honeymoon! We also have a 9 year old son (my husband's step son) in the mix, adding a whole new set of roles that all three of us are learning.
I've been an RN for 5 years and am settling into a new role in the cath lab, which is a big change from my previous experience in ER. But the hours are better and mean I get to see my husband a bit more, which is worth giving up the excitement of the ER.
I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and give and receive a little experience, advice, and camaraderie!
