  • I'm new ....

    Hi everyone,

I am new here. I am an American (wife and mom) living in Denmark with my Danish husband, who is a medical student, his last year. He is in the process of taking all the American board exams to be able to participate in the 2005 match. It is very stressful for all of us. I'm looking forward to posting on these boards.

Yeah, Kristen...I'm Kristen too!!! I met your husband over at the SDN! I'm so glad he sent you this way. I have been in your shoes almost exactly. My husband is a german citizen who of course went to med school there. He also did 2.5 years of residency in europe before we came to the US...I remember the nail-biting experiences of taking the boards, waiting for results, worrying about interviewing for the match and the money...etc, etc, etc....

I have also lived through his adjustment to the US and my own adjustment after living in Germany for so many years. I would really love to get to know you better. I think we have a lot in common. I also had two children when we returned to the US

I've already offered your husband and you a warm meal if you make it back to MN It's great to see you here.
