  • So glad to have found you guys!

Hi I'm new to this group, and so thankful to have found others who are in similar boats. I'm engaged to a 4th year and he just left for a month long away rotation. I'm a little nervous about the rest of the med school/residency. I am thankful we have an amazing and strong relationship, but I still have some fears about feeling lonely or having to uproot and move. So nice to "meet" you all!

Welcome! Fourth year was both good and bad, but the away rotations were tough.

Welcome to the bunch! Fourth year was awesome for DrB and I! The match is a nerve wracking prices but if you stay calm you can really enjoy it all. Soak it in and enjoy the typically more relaxing pace of his final year of med school!

There were quite a few of us who went through the match and residency move process just this year so you have lots of people to help when life hands you curveballs or to celebrate your successes.

Looking forward to getting to know you more!

Thanks for all the open arms!

I am a Registered Dietitian. Since I'm also in the healthcare field so I've heard many "horror" stories over the years but I am trying to stay positive and not let it get to me. As an RD I had to go through a match day as well to be matched to an internship and I remember how stressed me and all my classmates were. I'm going to have to be strong for him and hopefully it's not as traumatic as RD match day. HA! I uprooted for my internship, luckily it was only a year. So I can handle the unknown but I'm such a planner that it makes it hard for me when I can't plan. I'm working on being less type A.

He is wanting to go into emergency med, it seems like a great fit for him. I hope he can get matched into an EM program.

I'm looking forward to learning more about you all and your lives, experiences and personalities!
