      Welcome to the club!

I was nodding along to most of your introduction woes. We get it around here.

Funnily enough, when I joined this site many years ago it was that exact same google phrase that landed me here. It was a curiosity rather than a personal need (a group med school friends had been debating the statistics) but still, good to know that phrase still leads people here .

Grand Rounds is the main hub, everything else is more specialized by interest so if you have a particular interest in parenting issues, photography, cooking, books, sports, whatever there's probably a forum for it! Some of the specialized forums go stagnant for a while but feel free to revive them.

Welcome! European transplant here (I'm Irish, DH is American). This site is a great source of support. Stick around!
We were in Philly for residency and DH did some rotations at CHOP. Excellent hospital.

Welcome! We spent many years in Philly and know quite a few people who worked at CHOP. Great city and great hospital. Feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions about the area.

Welcome! We're happy to have you here. This place is a lifesaver at times. Your opening post makes me wonder if we should take a poll of how many people found imsn by googling similar statements haha! I found my way here after googling something along the lines of "are medical marriages happy/can you be happy if you're married to a doctor" (yeah I'm a weirdly specific googler).

Post often, this is an amazing bunch!

                      Welcome!

My husband is German and I'm American. He went to med school in Germany, but trained entirely in the US, and at some point was doing his American boards AND his German ones at the same time. He went back to get his Dr. med. title soon after starting residency here, so it was chaotic internship year as well.

Hi! Welcome!! I credit this site for keeping me out of either the insane asylum or jail...there are times I so want to strangle the dawkters neck! It is comforting (in a misery loves company sort of way) to know that I can deal with it since others have gone through similar medical marriage issues.
Finally - we are finished with training! Hello real world!!

Welcome! We just started residency this year also, and having all the shared experiences here to reflect and rely on has been a lifesaver more times in the past few months than I'd ever have imagined (despite having been a semi-active member all through med and grad school!) Hopefully it will be helpful for you too!
