  • Steve from Canada

I'm a professional engineer married to a physician with an anaesthesia specialty. We have two teenage boys and live about an hour away from Toronto Ontario.

I posted a few times many years ago, but not recently enough for me to remember my old username or password.

My main interest is in getting to know a few more male physician's spouses in order to compare experiences. There is nothing quite like talking to others who truly do know what it is like to walk in your shoes. For male spouses of physicians, that doesn't seem to happen all that often. The one I knew the best is no longer married to a physician.

I'm looking forward to getting re-aquainted with the discussions and plan on jumping in from time to time depending on the topic.

Thank you, PrincessFiona and others, for creating such a practical venue for physician's spouses to compare notes and provide support and encouragement.

Hi Steve, nice to meet you! I think we have a great group of male spouses here now, so hopefully some of them will pop in and introduce themselves.

Welcome! We love the perspective of the male spouses around here, a truly great group of men. The anesthesia spouse contingent continues to grow (my DH is a CA-2) so welcome to the fold. Looking forward to getting to know you better.

Welcome, Steve! My DH is also an anesthesiologist, 3 years out of residency. We have a small but awesome group of male med spouses on here. Hope you find some people to connect with, and I'm looking forward to getting to know you!

Yes, I noticed that the last time -- only a few, and not as chatty. Even so, it's nice to know they are there.

Thanks everyone for a warm welcome!

Heya! Welcome back! Happy to chat anytime! I'm always around but don't tend to dive into the regular day-in-day-out threads. That having been said, if there's any way I can be helpful please let me know!
