  • Hello everyone! Newbie here!

Hi everyone! My name is Haley, and I am married to an MS3 pursuing (probably) pathology (maybe) derm or ID. We've been married for 1 year and together for nearly 5. I currently work as a marketing coordinator for a large corporation.

I am so excited to have stumbled upon this site as I don't have any friends that are in my situation. This med-training life is a tough one, and I'm glad that I found what seems to be a wonderful support system with spouses who know exactly what I'm going through! Hubby and I have started the family discussion and when would be a good time to try for baby #1, so I look forward to learning from all of your experiences with family life!

Hi Haley! I commented on one of your other posts, but welcome! My DH is an MS4 and about to take an MBA year, so he'll graduate 2019. Is that the same year as your husband? Have y'all made friends with any classmates and their partners? That's been critical for me.

This is definitely an interesting and unique experience! It can be hard to get support and accurate advice from people who haven't gone through it themselves. Glad you found us, I look forward to getting to know you!

Welcome. This is a great place. We just finished 6 years of residency and fellowship. It is long but somehow it seems to go by fast.

        Hello everyone! Newbie here!

Welcome! I just noticed on your profile that you also have a labradoodle! We love ours! She's apricot-colored, 2 years old, and 30lbs. 😍

Yes, he'll graduate in 2019 as well! Our school doesn't have many events to interact with other students and their SO's, so that makes it difficult. Plus DH thinks if you're not 1st you're last and studies constantly (thankful for that though), which leaves little time for social events!

Welcome! I joined the site in med school too. I worked a lot and traveled so didn't know many classmates either.

We had babies in 4th year med, Nov of 2nd year of residency, and April of 4th year. Highly recommend the 4th year med school baby.

We are a month from finishing residency and moving for fellowship.

Welcome! I found this site in med school, shortly before the match. He's now pgy4 with one year left of residency, finally looking to get a real job and settle for good! We had 2 kids during residency, though our original plan was to have our first during ms4. This is a great place!
