    Welcome! I started on here when I was just dating my dh back in fourth year of med school and then we did a year apart for his first year of residency while I finished my masters. Now we've lived in three states, are in the attending years and one kid later.... I really did live by the mantra expect the worst and maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised. Also, make your own life and hopefully he can tag along on occasion. It's hard but it can be worth it. This board really helps when you are in the trenches.

      Welcome! I'm glad you're here, and I look forward to getting to know you better! Along with your conclusions, a favorite around here is "Medicine is not a pass to be an ass". While we can and should be forgiving in the rough rotations/periods, you're not expected to be an emotional doormat either.
