Hi everyone, just stopped by to re-introduce myself. I was on the site many years ago. 10?
Anyway, no, I am not a medical spouse. Last I was on the Boards my ex-husband was a scientist at BigPharma, so I used that to sort of justify my presence, but now I don't even have that lol. And his and my lifestyle at BigPharma did not in any way compare to what you go through.
As for why I am here, I just like the Boards. I tend to lurk, and probably won't post much. But you are a group of intelligent woman who it is fun to read.
As for me, I teach piano, and in my spare time I like to run, and to knit, both by hand and by machine, and to read. My latest reading is a friend loaned me all 100(?) books that Catherine Cookson wrote. Historical fiction. They make you think.
Anyways, I just stopped by here to say Hi!

I'm not sure, it's been too long. It might have been Bluejay, or maybe Bluejayfeather. Thinking about it, it may have been more like 12-15 years ago, becuase I was still married when I was posting. Sorry.

Oh hi! I feel like I remember you. I understand the draw of forums like this, as an introvert it's just such a nice way to socialize by getting involved on the margins of people's lives and sometimes contributing to the conversations. Thanks for introducing yourself (again!)

I also run and knit at times! Not lately though. I guess I am a little ADD in the way that my current interests tend to crowd out past interests. In the past few years, I have been into looking for a dog and also into advocating for my children/participating in kid-related volunteer activities. So fiber arts slipped by the wayside. At the moment, I'm into taking care of and training the dog I finally got, and participating in even more kid-related volunteer activities! Maybe fiber arts and running will be back once school starts. I'd love to get fit enough again to run with my dog when he's old enough.
