    Re-Introduction

    Hi! I was really active several years ago, but ended up falling off the face of the earth for a couple years.

    I am Laurie, married to an anesthesiologist. We have two kids, 8 (girl) and 9 (boy) years old. DH has been out of training for 7 years. Crazy how time flies once it gets better!

    I am a stay at home mom, and I volunteer in a few organizations. I'm treasurer for PTO and our performing arts board. I am also in Service League (like junior league, but we don't pay dues to call ourselves that), and I am a CASA volunteer. In my pre-kids life, I worked in IT.

    Our past year has been a mess of housing craziness. We bought a lot and planned to start building when our house sold, but... our house didn't sell. So instead of dropping the price lower than we wanted, we took it off the market and began renovations. We are currently living in a rented house, but because we didn't plan on being here this long, it's felt like a year of living out of suitcases. (All but our essentials are in storage.)

    I'm looking forward to reconnecting with all of you again! I miss the community here. Love y'all!

    Has it been years? Glad to see you around!! I've been dying to ask you about CASA. It's one of the directions I want to go next.

              It's been a great way to help, and it mostly fits within my schedule with kids' school. Summer is a little trickier, but I've been able to find sitters for those times.

                    Not anymore. I think after being inactive for awhile, they remove private forum access. I'd be happy to have it back!
