Hello - My name is Isabel. My boyfriend is 3 months into his family residency program in Northern California. I'm situated on the other side of the country in Washington, DC!! Long distance is so challenging as it is; the 3 hour time difference and a crazy work schedule makes it even more trying... my boyfriend is an amazing human being and it's worth all the effort!! I'm quite fortunate as I get to see him once a month..but long weekends go by quickly. Anyways, I'm learning how to support him, say the right things, even if it is just on the phone or in a card. This is a great resource. thank you.

    Isabell,

It's nice to meet you. I hope you'll be patient with us here as we try and get the website set back up again. It's been a crazy couple of weeks while we transfer over our databases, etc.

I'm Kristen wife to an ID attending. We're actually in our 4th year now of "real life" (never thought that day would come!). We have four children (9,8,5 and 10 months) and I teach biology lab part-time.

I can only imagine that doing the long-distance thing is hard! We have some other members here who have done that as well, so I'm sure that they will be able to share their secrets for success!

    Welcome aboard!

Welcome to the website, glad you found us. Are you planning a move to the West coast or will you continue the long distance? Best of luck and we look forward to getting to know you.
