  • Hello! Wife of 8 years to a 3rd YR MD Student

    Hello all!
My husband and I have been married for 8 years, we have two beautiful daughters, 8 & 5, and he is in his third year of med school. I run a small ad agency out of our house to allow me the opportunity to be around for our girls. My husband is crazy about urology, and will be applying for the AUA match. Anyone else been around for the AUA match process?

    Welcome and post away!

I don't know anything about the urology match, but I believe there is a member or two whose(or is it who's?) spouses are in urology. Hopefully they will have some words of advice to offer you.

Hi and welcome! My husband is also a third year, and while he's not dead-set on anything yet, every day that passes seems to cement him more securely toward emergency medicine.

Hi! Welcome from a fellow Kansas Citian! I know nothing about the AUA process (I'm unsure if that is a specialty or a location???) but I'll bet somebody here does.

Hi, and welcome. My husband is a PGY-3 urology resident, he did the AUA match 3 years ago (duh ). Please feel free to ask any and all questions (PM me, if you'd like), I'll try to answer them as best I can. I'm sure I don't need to tell you this, but urology is a great specialty for someone who's interested in surgery and the lifestyle isn't too bad either. Good luck, and post often!

Hello! My husband is MS3 as well--he's been non-committal so far, but it seems that we're leaning towards internal medicine these days. Good to hear that someone else is approaching that final year!
