    Talking about residency to those impending victims is like telling a pregnant woman about the birth process. Every once in a while you hear about some lucky girl who sneezes and out pops the baby. For the rest of us it's one damn pain in the butt after another, for hours and hours and hours.

      Hi Pam,

      Congratulations on being in the final stretch! Loved the story about the gay med student and ob/gyn rotation on your blog.

      My DH is in derm but we took the longer route. He's a PG5 who is an R2 in derm. (Switched specialties via a derm research fellowship.)

      We live in the Pacific NW and are starting to think about where we want to live, etc. Our two daughters (2, 5) keep me busy as well as a part time job as a pastry assistant.
