      Hello and welcome!

While I dont have dh in private practice, he just started his ob/gyn residency. It has been hard for us to move where we dont know anyone and my dh working crappy hours. I can totally sympathize with you on getting out with the kids. Mine are young too, and it is a lot of work. (ages 3,2, and 1)

Hang in there....and "see" you around.

Welcome! Just having this site should hopefully help. I know it made my relocation for dh's job MUCH easier.

those ARE awful hours. hopefully as he becomes more comfortable (and more successful faster than the other jr?) he'll learn to relax a bit. on the other hand ... the midwest can ALWAYS use more cardiologists.

        welcome, welcome, welcome!

Welcome, fellow new member... :ra: (I was just looking for a simple wave, but this will do!)

As someone else whose husband works long hours too (in cardiac surgery) I can already reassure you that we are in good company, surrounded by those in similar situations...people who can REALLY understand what it's like. Sometimes those SO's don't appreciate the strain that their work life puts on the family unit, so it can be good just to see that people have been there before us and survived.

I missed this site (already) while it was down too!
