Hi all. I've been signed up with medicalspouse.org for a while but haven't visited in way too long. I'm Lisa, SAHM to a 3 y.o. girl and expecting a boy the first week of May. DH is a facial plastic surgeon and we live in FL. He trained in VA, MN, and Toronto and we finished training and moved to FL in July 2000. Looking forward to getting to know you all.

    Hi Lisa--

Welcome back--though funny for me to say since I haven't been here very long at all. Just enough time to get support for the Match---My DH starts internal medicine in RI in June...

I've found this place incredibly friendly, supportive and a great crystal ball of sorts into the future (yikes!) as we get through internship and the rest of residency...

Hope you find what you're looking for!

      Lisa,

Holy cow, if I read your post right, you have survived a general surgery residency a surgical fellowship plus several very long distance moves! Any secrets???? I'm in awe!

Seriously, welcome back! I think that we may have met over at the email group. Also, the heartiest of congratulations on your newest little angel. Good luck!

          Thanks for the welcomes, everyone.

Kelly, you read right. We did a 1 year general surgery internship, 4 year otolaryngology residency, 1 year facial plastic surgery fellowship and are now finishing our 2nd year in practice. Whew. Hang in there. There is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Thanks, Kris. I don't think I'm the best one to look to for advice but I certainly have some experience to share!
