OK, I just realized I have never "formally" posted an intro. So, all of you who already know the skinny on me just skip over this - it'll be terribly redundant for you.
I am the wife of a radiology resident. We got married during undergrad and so I've been through all of medical school with him and now residency. We have four children: a son born during college, twin daughters born at the end of second year medical school, and a daughter born this year (the first year of residency). I think I'm going to give myself a breather of a few years before I put my body through any more self-inflicted trauma.
We were in Texas for medical school and prelim residency year and will be in Massachussetts for four years for the rest of the five year radiology residency. My husband is also an active duty Air Force Officer (getting promoted to Major this October we just found out). Whether he does a fellowship or not will mostly depend on how much I can handle and if the military allows him to do this.
I am planning on homeschooling my children (that's the plan, but like all plans is subject to change on a moment's notice). I also enjoy sewing and design (of any sort - clothing, interior, and architectural). Right now my children are 5, 3, 3, and 4 months. We also have two cats - sweet stuffed animals both of them.
So, that's my life in a nutshell at the moment. It's crazy and unpredictable in many ways and we're always a step ahead of the "poor house" so to speak, but the roller coaster is kind of fun in a twisted, masochist way.
