Amy, Welcome to the group. I hope you won't mind that I moved your post into the intros section...it was down in the archives and I was afraid no one would see it

We had our first two children pretty close together too....it's pretty interesting, to say the least! The up-side of it is that they are so close now. My oldest are now 7 and 6 and call themselves "twins"....they are really close emotionally and take care of each other...I hope that they will maintain that relationship.

How are you managing on your own with them right now?

Hi Amy! Welcome to our group! This is an awesome place to come for support when you haven't seen your husband in days - everyone here can really relate to what you are feeling! Congrats on managing with two little ones so close in age - I'm sure they keep you very busy! I'm Claudia, by the way - my husband is a 4th year surgery resident so I can also really relate to your feelings of never seeing your husband. I often wonder why I moved here all by myself?

            Amy---

Welcome to the group! You must be a patient woman....a 3 and a 2 year old and an absentee husband. This sounds similar to the lives of many of our members. Yup, you have found yourself amongst kindred spirits indeed! Welcome. I look forward to getting to know you.

                Hi Amy!

I just found this site the other day as well and LOVE it! Its nice to have people understand what it is like to be married to someone in the midst of medical training.

                Have a great weekend!

I am really behind on welcomes! I am glad you found this site -- it keeps me from talking to the walls some days! I am Sally, SAHM to three boys, aged 7, 4, and 11 months. My husband is an OB/GYN for the Air Force, and he has been done with residency for a little over a year. We live in north Texas and are originally from Indiana. We hope to go back there when his time in the Air Force is up -- a little less than three years to go. We have been married for 12 (!) years this weekend, so I have been with him for all of the "good" stuff! I really wouldn't change a thing, but I am VERY anxious for school to start -- two weeks to go!

We are glad you are here -- post away!
