  • Clueless newbie here

    Hi everyone!

I’m married to a 2nd year med. student, so I’m new to this whole med. spouse gig. Anyway, I’m so happy I found this website! I desperately need to shed some of my naivety regarding this process and I can tell already that this will be a great resource and source of support. I have to say, much of the info I’ve read here, particularly about residency, has scared the bejezzus out of me, but I feel better already just having a glimpse of what is to come. Anyway, you all seem like such a cool group, I just had to join in!

Welcome! I'm glad you decided to join. My fiance is in his second year as well so I'm right there with you.

Welcome! I was terrified at first. You kind of go through the 12 steps. Denial, anger, fear, acceptance, etc.

We're still new at this but I'm glad that I don't feel like I'll be blindsided by anything that comes up.

Aww, thanks for the welcome guys. The step thing makes sense. I think I am currently at the fear stage with a hint of anger. I greeted poor DH today by telling him "I don't care what happens or how you feel, you are not doing surgery." See what I mean about the hint of anger. Anyway, I'm glad to be here.

Welcome!!! I've been posting for almost 4 years not and LOVE this site! I have met amazing people here.

The support from people who have BTDT and people in your shoes is extremely comforting.
