  • Mutiple attacks

I'm not sure where to put this but yesterday I had multiple attacks on several computers when logging into this website. On the first computer at work it was a trojan. On the second computer at work is was a very badly named worm call child.porn. I had to call corporate to fix it. <insert mortified face here>

I open internet explorer at work. I can get onto other websites fine. It's just this website I have issues with. The first attack started my virus scanner. The second attack blasted my co-workers computer that I was on cross referencing the attack when openning this site. It made their computer inoperable. I had to completely unplug the computer to stop the attack.

Today after corporate worked on these two computers I have had attacks again only when logging into this website. Some security measures have been put in place asking me if I want to allow this website to open something on my computer now. I've had multiple requests just while logging in here and typing this post.

I've been in contact with two other members that are having similar experiences as I. It's very difficult for me to access the site at this time without protections going off or shutting me down as you can see from the last picture. I don't know if certain members are targeted or vunerable or if it's working its way around. Please help.

We are working on it. Thanks for the report. Hostgator has done multiple scans of the software/server and is now presenting a ticket to the bigwigs since they can't seem to find it. I will keep you updated.

So glad I checked on my iPad instead of my PC this morning...thanks for the warning! Can we get an update when it's all-clear Kris?

Yep. There are a lot of hands on deck. It will probably be this afternoon before I know if it has been solved or not. I will absolutely keep everyone posted.

Thanks so much to the mods who first reported this and have been on top of it from the start. They are the ones who alerted me to this and have kept their feet up my behind. They deserve kudos.

Thanks mods and Kris for being on top of this, especially when your lives are so very busy!

I never saw any of the warnings, but I couldn't log on last night or most of this morning. Everything would load really slowly and then I wasn't allowed to type in my user name or password for the most part. If I did manage to type it in, nothing happened. I use IE7 (or 8, whichever one is newer) to browse and I kept seeing an IP address, which matches the one in the pics that Cinderella posted, in the lower left hand corner as if it was one of the page elements loading. And it would usually get stuck on that "element" too.

Is that why Kapersky kept popping up with notices?

Hmmm I'm assuming it didn't affect the
Mobile end of things? Also should we all run virus scans now just in case?

Thanks to Cinderella for letting the rest of us know. I saw this on my phone but was planning on logging on with my computer this morning.
