  • ATT Help!

Ugh. I feel awful!! I reset my moms email password and I forgot it. In all my attempts to guess it, I locked her account. NO ONE at att will help me because "its a free email account and we have no authority to do anything with it."

    FUCK!

    Anyone have any suggestions??

Does the account have security questions or a backup email? https://www.att.com/olam/forgotPassw...tPasswordStep1

No back up email and I forgot one of the security questions. And it locked now so I can't even guess the one security question I forgot. I'm too sleep deprived. I never should've messed with it for her. She was out of town and her account was spamming us. I tried to fix it.

        Oh no

At least whoever was spamming cannot get into the account now.

FYI, your mom needs to be aware that whatever password she was using before might be compromised if she is using it somewhere else.

I had her change her passwords elsewhere.

You know? She's not even upset. I would be lost if I couldn't get into my email. But she really doesn't use it much.

If google is to be trusted, I think the account will unlock after 24h and I can try again.

              Ugh.

It will unlock I wish I could offer more! Unfortunately those things are hard to hack for all the right reasons!

I did know a guy in college who was creepy good at this stuff though...I could check with him. He once broke into a wifi network live for a class demo.
