    Best:

    The Bill of Rights

    Worst:

    Hollywood
Who uses a machete to cut through red tape
With fingernails that shine like justice
And a voice that is dark like tinted glass

Best: Wealth of imagination and innovation of ideas

Worst: Money grubbing/keeping up with the Jones attitudes in both individuals and companies

Best: It's beautiful (oceans, desert, prairie, mountains).

Worst: Bush and Cheney. I have to agree with Luanne here.

Best: Freedom to say whatever you want to say and (in theory) not be persecuted for it.

Worst: Govermental Gridlock, i.e. the way Washington works (or doesn't). Good ideas should just get to be done, not debated, attached, cut, approved and all of that crap.

Best: Basic human freedom placed against the backdrop of capitalism, cutting edge technology, puritan work ethic, and a youthful optimism which have allowed this country to give birth things to amazing things in all the various disciplines: e.g. the computer, NASA, the car, rock and roll, and Disney world. Only in America, baby.

Worst: We don't take care of our own.

The problem with my choices, of course, is that there is a slight conflict between the two. How can we make capitalism work within a fair framework that provides the basic necessities for those who can not provide for themselves? This battle rages inside of me because both arguments are so compelling.
