No, you'd go through our cold friends to the north.

Very interesting Tara. I know this summer when we were in NM and AZ we were surprised to see actual uniformed people checking cars/trunks and papers. We came in through El Paso and drove northeast in to southern NM. The atmosphere was strikingly different from anywhere we've lived. I wouldn't be at all aware of the extent of the problem if we hadn't just visited. Reading about it doesn't really drive it home.

I wonder what will happen with immigration debates in the future. I agree with the article's point that corporate America is against any immigration reform because it will take out work force. I don't buy the "jobs that Americans won't do" debate. There are too many dirt poor people here in Cleveland who could use a construction job -- and too many activists that say big building sites won't allow inspections for immigration issues.

As always, I blame Walmart. They are my chosen scapegoat for Corporate America. (But don't take away my Target! <Fingers in ears> lalalalalal! )
