They did...It is so sad that this relationship has kind of come to an end the way that it did. Many of the people that I know who used to travel to America every year (Florida, California etc) don't do it anymore...American goods were the rage...not so much anymore.
My BIL and SIL flew to the US for the first time last month and their traveldocumentary that they wrote to us was so negative that I was almost alarmed.
Unfortunately, our foreign policy decisions have had significant consequences for our relationships with countries that we really need to have on our side. We can't fight global climate change or terrorism alone.
Bush sucks.
