    Oh, most definitely people choose to attend DO schools over MD schools. There are some great schools out there in both camps.

    Take this situation as an example: You're accepted to 2 schools. One is acceptable (although not spectacular) with a fairly strong reputation and decent board pass rates. Your interviews there just didn't have a good vibe to it and you left without feeling overly hot for the people or the school.

    The other school is stellar in reputation, board pass rates, and great residency matches. Your interview there felt like this was "it". You get the warm fuzzies and it feels like the right place to be for the next 4 years.

    Which do you chose? Me, I'd take the stellar school where I "clicked", regardless whether it was DO or MD.
