  • Remaining Primary States

Today the Oregon and Kentucky primaries are being held. Are these the last two states?

To make this debate-y --- if these are the last primaries, how much longer should both candidates stay in the race? I think something needs to happen no later than mid-June.

(Aside, anyone see John McCain on SNL and his advice to the Dems to wait until the convention? Even kick John Edwards tires? )

Montana still needs to hold it primary...there is a nother state , but it escapes me @ the moment. I caught some clips of McCain's SNL gig.

Maybe North Dakota? I found a map showing OR, ND, KY, FL, and MI. I think that was it.

Given the Dems' position of the 2000 Florida recount and their general viligence (or soapboxing, I guess depending on how you look at it) regarding voter disenfranchisement, I would think that they should stop urging HRC to drop out prior to the completion of the primaries. Let people have their vote. That way, no HRC loyalist can complain that she was pushed out or aside. It might help to shore up support for uniting behind Obama, if he's the ultimate candidate.

SD and MT Dem primaries are 6/3.

Doh, yes SD. Maybe someday I'll learn how to read a map.

I couldn't remember which Dakota it was, either. I had to look it up on FoxNews.com's interactive primary map.

Next time I'll remember that South Dakota is the one south of North Dakota. :

I still think HRC would have made the best president of the three despite her many flaws, but she should have gotten out after Indiana. I assume she's getting out after June 3 (please please please).

McCain was good on SNL, but I think he's far better on Jon Stewart, which is less scripted. The two of them jabbing each other is hilarious. I'm kind of surprised when people say they don't like McCain's personality. I don't want him to be president, but I like his personality a lot.

I'm pretty excited that no matter what, we're getting a much better president come January. :stars: So glad the last eight years of this are over.

You all know that I loved HRC, but....gaaah...enough already! WHAT is she still doing in the race? I can't even watch her on tv anymore because I feel so sorry for her. Someone needs to give her take aside, give her a big hug and help her let it go.

It might be about financials & her forcing the party to make her @ least the VP candidate.
I saw on the weekend political shows, where she & Bill will more than likely loose their loan to her campaign.
By not getting the nomination or being the VP candidate, she will only be reimbursed $250,000 ...ouch, I think they've loaned the campaign over 11 mil!

I don't think she knows or is getting really bad advice. Last week her rhetoric had really toned down and it was obvious she was only going after McCain, not Obama. Now she seems to have ratcheted her attacks on Obama back up and playing the "I have more votes" card again. I think she has said several times she'll be in it through the last primary but I believe she'll bow out before the convention.
