This is soooooo funny! I have been to Canton, MS and can vote this as number one. Does anyone here remember when Johnny Carson called NJ the armpit of America? I may be tho only one who remembers. Please don't anyone dare say who was Johnny Carson, it could put me over the edge.

I've only actually been to Canton, OH, and while I'm not a fan, I feel safe in assuming that Canton, MS is probably worse. Plus, Cassy is from near Canton, and she'd probably kill us all when she came back if we vote her Canton sucks the most. -

I thought they made a pretty good case for South Dakota sucking the worst.

Canton, TX is awesome! One huge trade days -- like you can walk for miles and just shop shop shop. You can buy everything under the sun (and being in Texas, there is a lot of sun) there!!!
I'd say Canton, OH sucks most because the state of Ohio bores me (like my relatives who live there). Haven't been in over 11 years.Veronica

I grew up in the same county as Canton, KS, and I'm not sure exactly where it is. :|I don't even know where Canton, KS is and I lived there for 22 years. Its probably some tiny town in western Kansas.
Here's a little tidbit from Wikipedia that ought to add some points in its defense, though:
Canton has two water towers, labeled "HOT" (in red) and "COLD" (in blue).[10] The words were painted on as a tourist attraction in 1956 at the suggestion of local real estate agent Mrs. M.D. Fisher.[11] In fact, both tanks hold water at an average temperature, neither chilled nor heated.

So I looked it up on a map, I know vaguely where that is.
I agree, growing up in a small town was great but it also had its drawbacks, good thing there isn't a need for neurosurgeons there.

Oh man, the Texas newsmagazine on NPR (Texas Matters- on every Friday) interviewed the Mayor of Canton, Texas. The poor man, he is all steaming mad about the Colbert Report- but starts off his interview with "I've never seen his show." He has NO idea what it's all about. Poor guy. Needless to say, it won't help Colbert's opinion of the Texas Canton...
