I am probably one of the only people right now, not interested in the convention. As a speech writer and historian I just can't bear it right now. Plus for 10 years I have had to listen to alot of BS from my husband so I need to get a break, even if the BS is now on in HD, lol.
Anywhoo, as anyone heard of love addiction ? I read this site and freaked out. http://www.loveaddicts.org/kindsofloveaddicts.html.
But then I sort of settled down and realized this is just more bs, just like most of psychology. Are there any therapists out there ? I understand that it is more efficient to label someone for the purposes of studying them. But any identity base on ones behavior is a little off sometimes, because people are very dynamic. If I had a dime for everytime I read a DSM-IV book and realized that I have every personality disorder then I would be rich, lol.
People adapt to their environment. I meet alot of different kinds of people and simply let them define the relationship. I have ran into crazy people and then I have ran into sane people. My problem is that I have a very open mind and try avoid being cynical. We constantly get stuffed down our throats that we are not be prejudice, when in fact some prejudice is good. I learned the hard way if someone tells you they are a sex addict the first week you meet them RUN THE OTHER WAY. But no, me being a naive Christian I simply tried to be loving and supportive, and discovered instead that I instead am co-dependent moron.
