    I guess this belongs in Debates...

    Does this completely creep out anyone else?

    Seriously. You have to be kidding me. Why would anyone--supporter or not--think that this is even remotely parallel? What is this artist trying to say? Even if he doesn't mean it literally...? I can't figure out which historical person the artist misunderstands more.

        I read an interview by the artist.

        His claim is that he is completely ignorant of the religious iconography at play in his own painting.

                  Uninspired painting that's more offensive because of its cheesiness than because of it's pseudo-religious imagery.

                  What I don't get is why we're supposed to care about this. There's ridiculous art created every day and Obama clearly didn't commission the painting. Now, if the artist had wanted some hard core notoriety, he should have depicted Obama as Muhammad instead.
