Are the blonds who are ditz - real blonds?

Do you think the stereotypical blond who is a ditz is a REAL blond? I have come to decide it's the boxed blonds who are the ditzes, of course I'm a real blond...

So what do you think?

I'm a brunette, and I'm one of the ditzy-est people I know. Book smart, yes - for the most part, but very ditzy and gullible, too.

A highschool friend and I had people convinced we were natural blondes and that we died our hair because we didn't like the sterotype... most people bought it... I'd like to think I've wisened up A BIT... but I am still really flighty, air headed and scatter brained at times!

I tend to think the boxed blondes are the ditziest. But I have been known to have some classic blonde moments in my time -- like going into my house last night when I knew the power was out and flipping the light switch...

My sister is a natural blonde, with the most amazing, thick, wavey sandy blonde hair.

And she's one of the smartest people I know. National Merit, full-ride to college, full-ride to law school--really, really smart.

So, I never got the blonde joke. Personally, I suspect it must relate to bottle blondes. Maybe peroxide does something to the brain? (I hope not!!...I'm a bottle red-head. Went salt-and-pepper in college and having been dying ever since. And it's the same peroxide used for blonde dye jobs.)
