Are bullets a hot commodity where you are???

If everyone owns a handgun, what's the point? What would be effective as "protection" then? Machine guns? Grenades? I feel like I'm in one of those awful movies. Brave people with guns ok but paranoid people with guns are dangerous! Someone shot and killed a guy a couple of months ago for getting lost and pulling into the wrong driveway! He said he thought he was gojng to be robbed. Craziness...

Here in the city and surrounding metro area, between the fact that there is no space to stockpile more than a 6-pack of TP, and two nuclear stations like bookends, I think we just drink a lot more and figure fuck it, when it's time, why linger? I'd rather go out in the first wave than have to eat bugs or live in a tent.

Yup. Our residency locale was within 50 miles of three nuclear power plants. Even in our current locale, I figure its still better to stockpile wine than bullets.

Lol. I know. Living in NYC I just never thought about people (non-criminals) having or wanting guns. To the point that i really didn't know people on the other side of the gun debate. Here it is a whole different ball game. The whole mindset just appears to be completely different. My hair stylist was literally talking to me last week about assault weapons that him and his friends fire in the desert for fun (not to hunt). I just had no clue people did that sort of thing when I was living in NYC. Things are very different here.

This. I knew people that hunted and whatnot growing up, but I never equated it with guns. I still don't really know that many people who actually own one.

And I'm sure there is a run on bullets here, as the criminals are trying to stock up on bullets for their stolen guns. We live near some of the most crime-ridden urban areas in the country.
