  • Is this really controversial?

Wth is with all the uproar? Really, I just don't get it.

So what say you? Does this pic of Gisele bother you?

It bothers me. Every mom could use a team of people to get themselves going in the morning. So yeah, I'm jealous.

That's interesting - everything I've seen about it has been either supportive or sarcastic (That's what I look like while I'm breast feeding and having my hair/nails/makeup done). My initial thought when I saw the pic was "how is her other boob not leaking???"

We (as a country) place too much sexual emphasis on the breasts - they also have another purpose She's just feeding her kid. NBD to me!

I don't get people's repulsion with breast feeding. I don't feel like women should be leered at if they are breast feeding in public, though if I were BF I'd probably throw a cloth over myself during. I don't really want to swing my BF boobs around a plane or restaurant, I think it's just polite to use a little discretion but that's bc I'm pretty body conscious anyway. I don't get the prob with the Gisele thing. I will say, however, if I had her body BF or not you'd have to present a pretty valid raiment to get me to put on any clothes. Ever.

I like that the babe is in the picture.
At the same time, I brushed my own hair, BUT, I'm not a professional runway model, so...

I would have loved to have felt so pampered like that.

The lady mentioned in the article who called her obnoxious certainly wants there to be a controversy. I saw a clip of her on CNN railing about how feeding a baby is a private choice. It struck me as very self-serving and artificial grandstanding.

I thought, "see, even supermodels breast feed."

As a photographer I enjoy the juxtaposition of her doing something so ordinary and fundamental to existence while being pampered so exotically. I love the irony. It's a great photo.

I think celebrity has a significant impact on public opinions and actions. A celebrity endorsement of breast feeding is a public health message, although I don't agree that breast feeding should be a law. Lol.

I wasn't offended by the photo, I was happy for another breastfeeding celebrity. I'm all about losing the BF taboo through public images (even if this was meant to stir controversy)

Not controversial to me. Wish I looked like that though! Breastfeeding my one year old while trying to get ready was more like fighting off a wild animal.
