  • Daughter in shock to find messy bedroom in driveway

    What say you?

I'm violently opposed to this idea. I feel like it was public shaming. As dad said, "she's a regular teenager" and she is also an honor's student. I get frustrated with my kids when their rooms aren't clean, but I would never do something like this to embarrass them in this way.

Based on the feedback over this though, I get the feeling my opinion is in the minority.

I agree with you. The sign was too far. He could have moved all of her stuff out of her room and left it 'Amish' style. The publicness of it went too far IMO.

He went way too far. I've removed everything from my kids' rooms before but for petes sake you don't make it public.

I agree, the attention seeking behavior from the dad was crossing the line. Taking away the things she wasn't taking care of? Fine. Trying to get famous on the internet by shaming someone else? Not the best life lesson, Dad.
