  • NYC Premiere Canceled

I don't know what to think. Do you think N. Korea is behind it? Is our future really going to be running scared?

I also hate that the entertainment industry has so much influence and power.

Homeland Security said it wasn't a credible threat. Still, as a private company, I can see saying that the downside of a potential attack with a public prior warning outweighs any benefit of the actual premiere.

And the movie is getting all kinds of free publicity...

That's what I was thinking. Cynical of us. Seth Rogen never had it so good.

Wait, what? Are you suggesting that a megalomaniacal dictator might not have a sense of humor and overreact to a perceived slight, showing both a lock of character and a complete absence of a sense of irony?

            Who would have thought?

I like a lot of Seth Rogen movies, but this one didn't look great. I think this publicity will help it a lot.

Heard a rumor on the radio this morning that they are suspecting former Sony IT employees who were laid off.

My mom refuses to even go see a movie over the holidays because of this. Even though I said the likelyhood of them attacking a tiny theater in a rural part of western PA probably wasn't a goal.

I guess I understand why they did it, liability issues. But still. It feels like they let them win and just encourages other attacks. I have no desire to see the movie. It looked stupid. But if had shown, I think I would have bought a ticket just to stick it to North Korea. If it ever comes out on video. I may buy it just because...

Yes, some IT nerd could certainly do this - right?
